Brigitte Bardot Receives Urgent Assistance as Her Health Takes a Turn

Birgitte Bardot, an internationally renowned name, began her illustrious career as a model in the 1950s, quickly rising to fame as an actress and becoming an icon of pop culture’s liberated sex symbols during the ’50s and ’60s.

However, she chose to step away from acting and modeling in 1973, redirecting her focus towards becoming a passionate activist. Her primary area of advocacy revolves around animal protection and welfare, although she faced criticism for making racist and homophobic remarks in her autobiography.

Now 88 years old, the French film legend resides in the picturesque South of France with her husband, Bernard d’Ormale. Recently, there was a health scare at her home, prompting the emergency services’ swift response.

According to her husband, d’Ormale, Brigitte experienced difficulty breathing around 9 a.m., although she did not lose consciousness. The firefighters promptly arrived and provided her with oxygen. Fortunately, her pulse, heart, and blood pressure remain stable, but given her age, her health is considered delicate.

The reason behind the respiratory issue was attributed to the heat, as Brigitte, like many others her age, finds it increasingly challenging to tolerate. She had been complaining about the insufficient strength of their home’s air conditioning, which led to her discomfort.

Despite her health scare, Brigitte Bardot continues to be a significant figure, known for her contributions as both an artist and an activist, leaving an indelible mark on the world.
