Country Star Morgan Wallen’s 2-Year-Old Son Urgently Hospitalized After Dog Attack by Ex-Fiancée

Country music sensation Morgan Wallen faced a distressing incident as his young son endured a harrowing ordeal, resulting in an emergency room visit after being attacked by the dog belonging to Wallen’s former fiancée.

Over the past few weeks, 30-year-old country star Morgan Wallen has faced a series of challenges. In May, he had to cancel multiple concerts due to vocal fold trauma, and now his family has been shaken by yet another deeply saddening event.

On a recent Sunday, Wallen’s 2-year-old son, Indigo, was swiftly taken to the hospital after sustaining a dog bite to the face.

The dog responsible for the incident is no ordinary canine; it is Legend, owned by Wallen’s ex-fiancée, KT Smith. Wallen and Smith, a Nashville-based social media influencer, were previously engaged, and their son Indigo was born in July 2020.

In a series of Instagram videos, Smith was the first to disclose the tragic events. “Yesterday, he bit Indigo in the face, and [Indigo] had to have stitches… we spent yesterday morning at the emergency room,” she shared.

Indigo’s injuries were carefully assessed at the hospital, and he received the necessary stitches. Following Smith’s emotional social media posts, numerous individuals suggested that the dog should be euthanized, believing it to be the appropriate course of action.

Legend, a Great Pyrenees, was adopted by Smith last year. She explained that the dog, like many rescue animals, had experienced trauma in the past, which she considered a likely reason for its aggressive behavior.

However, when confronted with the possibility of euthanizing the dog, Smith was overwhelmed. Instead, she reached out to her followers for alternative solutions and vehemently refused to take the dog to a kill shelter, citing capacity issues in other shelters.

“After exploring various options, I couldn’t bring myself to follow the prevailing opinion and the expected course of action, which is to put the dog down due to aggression,” Smith continued. A few hours later, she announced that she had found a resolution.

“We have just placed Legend with the most wonderful family, where he can live a fulfilled and joyful life on a farm,” Smith shared. “I couldn’t have asked for a better family to provide him with love and care, and since they reside in East Tennessee, we can visit him anytime we wish.”

Following her disclosure, Smith received a barrage of harsh comments on her Instagram. It is no secret that social media can be a cruel environment, and this situation was no exception. Smith shared a screenshot of one message that read, “Okay, you care more about the dog than your kid? What’s wrong with you?”

Smith responded, “Being a mother means prioritizing your child’s well-being and finding a new home for the dog, away from your child, before they return home. Being a dog mom means finding the best possible environment for the dog to thrive in, knowing it’s best for them not to be around children.” We all share the profound desire for our children to grow up in a secure and safe environment.

As parents, it is truly heartbreaking when our beloved little ones suffer harm. At this moment, our thoughts are with Morgan Wallen’s 2-year-old son, and we genuinely hope for his swift recovery and his ability to overcome the distress caused by this incident.
