Estranged Wife Alleges Kevin Costner’s Attempt to Evict Children from Home

The relationship between Kevin Costner and his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, is far from harmonious. In recent weeks, following Kevin’s surprising divorce filing in early May, it has become increasingly evident that trouble brews between the two.

Reports indicate that Kevin was taken aback by Christine’s decision to initiate divorce proceedings, and since then, the situation has only worsened. Recent news revealed that Baumgartner is refusing to leave their opulent $145 million home, disregarding the provisions outlined in their longstanding prenuptial agreement. The document supposedly stipulated that if a divorce were to occur, Baumgartner would have 30 days to vacate the premises. However, given that she filed for divorce on May 1, she has technically overstayed her welcome.

News of Kevin and Christine’s unexpected divorce surfaced earlier this year, coinciding with rumors of Costner’s departure from the popular show Yellowstone. Christine filed divorce papers in early May, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause. The couple had been married for 18 years.

In a statement released by Costner’s representative, it was expressed with sadness that circumstances beyond Kevin’s control had led to his involvement in a dissolution of marriage. The statement requested privacy for Kevin, Christine, and their children as they navigate this challenging period.

Kevin and Baumgartner tied the knot in 2004 and have three children together: Cayden (15), Hayes (14), and Grace (12). According to TMZ, the renowned actor has allegedly provided his former partner with over a million dollars to facilitate her search for a new home.

Following the media reports of Baumgartner’s refusal to vacate the property shared with Costner, her attorney, John Rydell, has responded on her behalf. Court documents obtained by Insider indicate that Rydell argues against Costner’s attempt to have Baumgartner leave, emphasizing that they are a family unit.

Rydell stated that Kevin’s request “seeks to kick Christine and their three children out of the house that the children have lived in for their entire lives.” The attorney further added, “Although the legal basis for Kevin’s request to kick his wife and children out of their home is all but nonexistent, this is still a matter of critical importance for Christine.”

Additional documents obtained by TMZ claim that Baumgartner, a former model, is refusing to vacate the property as a means to pressure Costner into meeting certain financial demands. Divorces are often complicated affairs indeed! If you have personally experienced one, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section.
