Father Courageously Stands Up to Trolls Criticizing His Affectionate Lip Kisses with Son

Tom, an affectionate father from England, always seizes the opportunity to express his love for his young son, Roman. However, when their displays of affection became viral on social media, not everyone was pleased.

Critics attacked Tom for kissing his five-year-old son on the lips, accusing him of confusing the child. Unfazed by the trolls, the father stood his ground, refusing to back down from their accusations.

Using a combination of logic and humor, Tom fought back against the negativity and found support in Roman, who boldly declared to the malicious users, “You are all crazy!”

The bond between a parent and child is heartwarming and enduring, shaping the morals, principles, and personality of the little ones as they grow. Each parent has a unique approach to raising their children, influenced by cultural, socioeconomic, and personal factors, as well as their mental and physical health.

Tom, hailing from Yorkshire, England, is a dedicated and loving father of two. He remains steadfast in his parenting technique, refusing to let the trolls and their negative comments influence him.

Regularly sharing videos on TikTok, Tom garners attention not only for his captivating appearance, with his icy blue eyes, accent, perfectly chiseled and tattooed body, but also for his deep affection for his sons: five-year-old Roman and Raphael Reign, who was born in mid-May 2023. Many of Tom’s TikTok videos now address the accusations aimed at confusing Roman or putting him in danger from strangers or infections.

However, Tom remains resolute.

On June 27, the father from northern England responded to a user who commented, “Just gorgeous both but don’t kiss him on the lips.” Tom emphasized in his response that he would continue showering his five-year-old son with love for as long as he deemed necessary and as long as Roman allowed it. Tom said, “I find it worrying that it bothers you. I will kiss my son, my five-year-old child, on the lips for as long as I deem necessary and as long as he lets me, right? I love him to bits, and he’s my best pal. One day he won’t want me to, and he probably won’t want much to do with me. So, for now, I’ll carry on as I am.”

Supportive comments poured in from fans who shared their own experiences, saying things like, “I love kisses with my kids and now my granddaughter. The people who think it’s wrong are the ones who should worry xx.” Another person, who had lost her father, expressed, “Absolutely ridiculous! I always kissed my dad on the lips, and I lost him 2 years ago, and I wish I could cuddle him and kiss him again.”

Tom responded to these thoughtful comments, stating, “He is the most loving little boy, and it’s because we raise him with love. Thank you for these comments.”

One user made an outrageous claim about bacteria and cavities, prompting a quick response video from Tom. The commenter wrote, “You shouldn’t kiss him BECAUSE of the bacteria in your mouth. Did you know you can make your child more susceptible to cavities if you have them and kiss them?” In a witty post that garnered almost 123,000 likes, Tom shared a message, “Wow. So I kiss my 5-year-old son on the lips, and he will get cavities. He’ll get cavities from his daddy kissing him.” Tom then turned to Roman and asked for his opinion. The boy giggled and replied, “Don’t be silly!” before sealing the statement with a kiss on his daddy’s lips.

Fans vehemently opposed the unsupported claim about cavities, with one writing, “OMG… who educated that person? You kiss away, you two,” while another, who identified as a dentist, added, “That is soooo ridiculous… and I work as a dentist. Carry on being the loving dad you are… your son is so cute.”

In early July, Tom posted a now-viral video that featured him with Roman on his lap in the car. With almost 579,000 likes, Tom reassured viewers, saying, “Don’t worry. Absolutely nothing’s going to change.” He then turned to his son and asked, “Roman, what do you think of people who think you shouldn’t kiss me on the lips?”

Roman emphatically replied, “You are all crazy. That’s my daddy!” The video concluded with a sweet kiss shared between the father and son.

Fans rushed to defend Tom’s post, expressing support for him. One person wrote, “Some people are just sick. He is adorable, and he would soon tell you when he gets older if he didn’t like it.” Another commented, “We kiss on the cheeks in my culture, but I really love that father-son relationship.”

A user chimed in, addressing Tom’s trolls and asking, “Do you have a problem with him kissing his son on the lips because he is a man? Because if it was his mom, I’m sure you wouldn’t.” Thankful for the woman for raising this important point, Tom responded, “I have genuinely been interested to know this because it is something I have thought about as well. I genuinely don’t think anything would have been said if it was a mom kissing a little boy… I don’t know why, but for some reason, when it’s a bloke, a dad kissing his little boy, something always gets said, and I don’t know why because it’s always by this weird minority. I’m glad it’s a woman saying this as well, so I really appreciate that… and I’m not changing anything.”

In another clip, the devoted father appeared visibly frustrated as he responded to a comment suggesting that the affectionate kisses would make the little boy vulnerable to malevolent strangers.

The commenter stated, “Don’t kiss your children on the lips, fact. Because not all humans have the right intentions, do you see what I’m saying? Don’t make it acceptable!” Tom retorted with a quip, “So the logic here is, if I kiss my five-year-old, he will think that he can go off, and it’s okay to kiss strangers, strange adults… obviously!” Containing his laughter, he continued, “So let’s apply that logic. I can’t have him in my car anymore to take him places because he could get in a stranger’s car and think that’s normal. He can’t live in my house anymore… well, he could just walk into a stranger’s house and think that that’s normal.”

Then, the devoted dad proposed a different perspective, saying, “Or we could, now hear me out, we could… teach him that he’s got a mommy and a daddy, and kissing them is normal, but kissing dodgy Barry down the road is a bit weird.”
