Luke Bryan’s Unwavering Love: Embracing His Late Sister’s Children and Raising Them as His Own

Country music star Luke Bryan divides his time between two homes: a beach house in Florida and a Tennessee farm named Red Bird Farm. The farm holds special significance as it is where Luke, his wife Caroline, and their two sons reside, along with their adopted nieces and nephew. The farm, spanning 150 acres, was named after Luke’s late sister Kelly, who had a fondness for red birds.

Tragedy has struck Luke’s family multiple times. In addition to losing his brother Chris in a car accident when Chris was only 19, Luke’s sister Kelly passed away unexpectedly in 2017. The cause of her death remains a mystery despite autopsies and coroner examinations. Kelly’s husband, Ben Lee Cheshire, had custody of their three children—Jordan, Kris, and Til—until his passing in 2014. Subsequently, Luke and Caroline welcomed their nieces and nephew into their family without hesitation.

Caroline’s family has also faced heartbreak, with the loss of her niece Sadie Brett at just seven months old due to a heart condition. These challenges have tested their faith, but Luke and Caroline strive to remain positive and appreciate each day. To honor Sadie Brett’s memory, a field of vibrant flowers and a party barn were established on the Bryan farm.

Red Bird Farm encompasses a main 10,000 sq. ft. home, a 1,800 sq. ft. guest house, and a 7,000 sq. ft. party barn. The guest house offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, media room, front porch, screened-in porch, and sits near a catfish pond. The barn serves as a sanctuary for rescue animals, including a white pony named Kilo, a rescue goat named Goober Goldsby, mini horses, pigs, and a donkey. It is a bustling household that reflects the Bryan family’s love for animals and their commitment to family ties.

Luke and Caroline also retreat to their Florida beach house, affectionately named “Snowman” in memory of Luke’s late brother Chris. The nickname refers to someone who scores an 8 on a single hole in golf, humorously alluding to Chris’s golfing abilities. “Snowman” provides the family with a private haven for relaxation.

For the Bryan family, having their loved ones nearby and honoring the memory of those they have lost hold significant importance. They cherish the moments spent together, knowing that their departed family members are watching over them and celebrating their achievements. Luke’s 2014 CMA Entertainer of the Year award holds special significance in this regard.
