Having flown the nest, the youngest Obama, Sasha, has embarked on a new chapter. At 22 years old, she bid farewell to the politically esteemed Washington D.C. and embraced the glamorous ambiance of Los Angeles, where she’s carving out her new professional path.
Residing in Brentwood, close to the University of Southern California (USC), Sasha Obama and her sister established a home while she pursued her undergraduate studies. As of this May, she successfully completed her program and graduated.
Throughout their upbringing, Barack Obama has consistently expressed his pride in his daughters. Speaking on The Late Late Show with James Corden, the former President candidly discussed his concerns that growing up in the White House might result in his daughters becoming “eccentric kids.” Nevertheless, he delighted in witnessing their flourishing into “exceptional young women.” Michelle Obama similarly shares her pride in her daughters during her interviews. The couple emphasized their desire to nurture “genuine individuals” capable of navigating the world beyond the White House.
Michelle Obama, known for her sense of humor, once shared a comical story about her daughter’s attempts at making cocktails. She recounted, “Not only did they drink it, they made one. Now it was a bad martini. It was very weak in a tumbling glass. You know they stumbled through. It was mostly vermouth and ice. Well, maybe it wasn’t even vermouth because I don’t even think they knew that vermouth goes in a martini.”
Both sisters appear to be relishing their time in California, frequently seen engaging in activities like hiking, attending parties, and indulging in various forms of enjoyment together.
