Luca’s adoption of Alba took place in 2017 when she was just 13 days old, having been rejected by 20 families due to her condition.
“She brought me joy and a profound sense of fulfillment. I am proud to call her my daughter,” he proclaimed.
Luca had previously worked in various care facilities for individuals with special needs and had always harbored a deep desire to become a father. His dedication to helping others began at the age of 14 after losing his best friend to cancer. He volunteered for organizations associated with the Catholic church, often assisting individuals who were critically ill or disabled.
That’s why, despite not having a life partner, he resolved to pursue the adoption of Alba, who now thrives in a loving home with her devoted father.
According to the BBC, Alba is a determined young girl who occasionally displays a stubborn streak. She delights in playtime, dancing, and the company of others.
“When I held a newborn baby for the first time, it was a transformative moment. Prior to that, I had always felt apprehensive. But when I cradled Alba, I knew I was prepared to be her father,” Luca recalled. “I was overwhelmed with joy, and I felt an immediate connection to her.”
